Field Notes
Float constraints that charts do not show
Many investors arrive with a volume screen already applied. That is useful — and incomplete. In small-cap momentum mapping we still spend time on float and the shape of recent participation because average daily volume can flatter names that only trade in bursts.
Burst liquidity
A stock that prints most of its monthly volume across three sessions can look acceptable on a twenty-day average and still be hostile to a careful entry. We note those patterns on the map so the briefing can address sizing realism, not only ranking.
Why Bangkok context matters
Thinner names on local exchanges often carry ownership concentrations that do not appear in a price chart. We do not claim special access to private shareholder registers; we do flag publicly known float characteristics and recent block-like prints when they change how a rank should be used.
Linking to the engagement
This is the reasoning behind our Pre-Position Liquidity Check and the liquidity appendix inside the flagship mapping engagement.
